BJP activists bring traffic to a halt

HYDERABAD: Thousands of motorists suffered with the traffic jam caused by the BJP activist's protest at Khairatabad MMTS station on Monday afternoon.

Nearly 150 BJP activists, led by their leaders Bandaru Dattatreya, Baddam Bal Reddy, B Laxman and Kishan Reddy staged a protest against the role played by Central Government in Amarnath Shrine land issue and demanded immediate allocation of land to the Amarnath Shrine Board.

The protest started at 11 am and after the leaders spoke, some activists tried to rush towards Governor’s residence. They were arrested near Vishveshwaraiah junction at around 1.30 pm.
